| After years of hearing family and friends say, "you missed your calling," I moved from my home state of West Virginia to San Diego to study at Mueller College of Holistic Massage Therapies. It was here that I discovered the immense satisfaction that comes from using my gifted touch to free clients from their pain. Following graduation and passing the exam for National Certification in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, I became licensed to practice massage in both West Virginia and the City of San Diego. | |
|
While living in San Diego, I worked simultaneously for the prestigious Cassidy's Massage Clinic (voted Best Massage Clinic in the city 6 years in a row) and SmartPerk, a company which provides corporate chair massage throughout the San Diego area. Returning to West Virginia, I opened That's the Spot! in January, 2008, operating out of rented space inside the Wood Rehab & Fitness Center on Rt. 2 in Moundsville. |

Helping my clients find relief from acute and chronic pain is the focus of my practice. Drawing on my intuition as well as my training and skills in Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, and Cranio-Sacral Therapy, clients soon experience stress relief, tension release, reduction in pain, and ultimately, better health. Under the guidance of my touch, clients have been freed from years of chronic pain; posture has been straightened resulting in a measurable increase in height; and overall health improves, leading to a general improvement in your quality and enjoyment of life. |

Massage sessions are by appointment and may be scheduled by calling That’s the Spot! at 304-281-1013. Testimonial It would have taken much longer to overcome my knee injury had I not used That’s the Spot! as part of my therapy. Medication alone wasn’t cutting it. – Bill |

| My ultimate goal with massage therapy is to provide physical, spiritual and emotional well-being through the healing touch of massage. | |
|
While working as Activity Director at a local nursing and rehab facility, I started to become interested in massage therapy. Massaging the resident’s backs and giving shoulder massages to staff seemed to provide relief and relaxation from stress, worries and some types of pain. I began more in-depth research and found that there are many more benefits to massage therapy than I had previously realized. |
|
| Leaving that position, I applied immediately to Penn Commercial Business and Technical School’s Massage Therapy Program completing the program in April, 2011. I passed my National Certification Exam in May, 2011, thereby opening the doors to getting my license a few short weeks later. | |
| I interned at the school and with a local chiropractor; I have been self-employed and worked in a salon and day spa. I am amazed to see and feel the positive effects that massage has on many different levels. In the near future, I plan to expand my levels of knowledge, continuing my education to include maternity and infant massage among other new techniques. | |
| I
am also a volunteer at my local fire department in my hometown of West
Liberty, WV. I attend the Vineyard Christian Church in Wheeling where I am
on the worship team and prayer team. I also serve as an Alpha Course
Leader and helper and volunteer where needed. I enjoy helping others and
am looking forward to meeting and helping you too. |
